
Pete Finn Named Baseball Head Coach
Finn comes to Dearborn with over 27 years of coaching experience.
DEARBORN, Mich. – University of Michigan-Dearborn Director of Athletics & Recreation Bryan Earl tabbed Pete Finn as the next head coach of the UM-Dearborn baseball program on Friday (July 25). Finn brings over 27 years of coaching experience to the Wolverine baseball program.
Finn has amassed 496 career wins in the high school ranks, capturing seven league titles and finishing as a state runner-up in 2007 at Farmington High School. Finn has been named League Coach of the Year eight times, District Coach of the Year four times and Regional Coach of the Year twice. Under Finn's tutelage, 65 student-athletes went on to play baseball at the collegiate level, and five advanced to the professional level. In June of 2024, Finn was inducted into the Michigan High School Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame.
"Pete brings a wealth of knowledge to our baseball program," said Earl. "Pete's dedication to developing student-athletes on and off the diamond is something that stood out to us during the process. His passion and enthusiasm for baseball and academics will bring a positive impact on the direction of our baseball program."
Finn resides in Northville and has been a High School physics teacher since 1994.
