DEARBORN, Mich. - The Madonna University women's basketball team hit 12 shots from 3-point range, which was the difference in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference matchup with the University of Michigan-Dearborn Saturday at the UM-Dearborn Fieldhouse.

Lindsey Hernden and Cris Harper each connected on four 3-pointers to lead the Crusaders to a 76-61 win over the Wolverines. The loss drops UM-Dearborn to 4-15 overall and 1-10 in the WHAC.

Three Wolverines finished in double figures, led by Jeorgia Jones (FR/Detroit MI) who came off the bench to score a team-high 13 points on 6-of-10 shooting. Kendall Rose (SO/Canton, MI) added 12 points and five rebounds, while hitting a pair of 3-pointers. Natalie Spala (SO/Livonia, MI) scored 11 and was a perfect 3-of-3 from deep, while grabbing a team-high seven rebounds.

The Wolverines shot 23-of-49 from the field, 7-of-22 from deep and 8-of-15 from the line. UM-Dearborn won the rebounding battle 28-27, while finishing with 15 assists and 21 turnovers.

Hernden scored a game-high 20 for the Crusaders, while Harper added 12 off the bench. Madonna shot 26-of-55 from the field, 12-of-30 from 3-point range and 8-of-11 at the free-throw line.

The Wolverines hit the road for a WHAC contest at Aquinas College at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday in Grand Rapids, Mich.
