Four Wolverines Named CSC Academic All-District

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Four student-athletes on the University of Michigan-Dearborn volleyball team were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team. Kenzie Mertz, Regan Sliwinski, Brooke Wetherill, and Regan Rose all received recognition.

Academic All-District teams were created to recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. To receive a nomination, student-athletes must have a minimum 3.50 GPA and meet high athletic standards.

Mackenzie Mertz and Brooke Wetherill were named to the WHAC All-Conference teams as both took home Second Team All-WHAC this season. Mertz compiled 526 digs as the Wolverine Libero this season. Mertz set a career-high 4.87 digs/set during the 2023 season and eclipsed 1500+ digs in her career. Wetherill earned All-District honors after posting a near 4.0 GPA in biochemistry while also collecting All-WHAC honors for the second consecutive year.

Rose and Sliwinski have been stalwarts in the classroom and between the lines, as the two have started almost every match the Wolverines played in during the 2023 season. The duo were also integral to the Wolverines' fifth-place finish in the WHAC regular season standings, being regulars in the Wolverine lineup.
