Wolverine women place 5th in Lansing

LANSING, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn women's cross country team had a strong showing at the Lansing Invitational hosted by Lansing Community College Friday at Grand Woods Park in Lansing, Mich.

The Wolverines placed fifth out of 20 teams, led by sophomore Victoria Hebda, in the 5k race.

Hebda finished 16th out of 190 runners with a time of 19 minutes, 24 seconds. Sophomore Julia Cercone was 30th, crossing the line in under 20 minutes at 19:59.4, while freshman Rebecca Bradsher was 40th in 20:22.1. Marina Goocher and Kayla Dela Cruz finished 87th and 91st, respectively.

The Wolverines continue their season at the Jayhawk Invitational hosted by Muskegon Community College Friday in Muskegon, Mich.
