FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn women's cross country team competed at the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Championship this past weekend in Fort Wayne, Ind.
The Wolverines put together a strong performance, placing fifth in the event.
Leading UM-Dearborn was Lauryn Hoover, coming in 28th place with a time of 19:51.9. Kyle Callison would finish right behind Hoover with a time of 19:53.6, placing her in 29th, while Cassie McDougall finished in 34th place with a time of 19:57.8.
Cornerstone University took the first place finish in the event.
UM-Dearborn will now wait to find out if members of the team will qualify for the NAIA National Championships in two weeks.
