Wolverines compete in two events over the weekend

NEW BOSTON, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn women's cross country team was back in action this weekend hosting the Wolverine Invitational and competing in the Lawrence Tech Invitational, Friday and Saturday respectively at Willow Metropark in New Boston, Mich. 

On Friday ,the Wolverine women went head-to-head with Aquinas College, however we're edge out as well due to Saints runners taking the top four spots in the 4k race. Leading UM-Dearborn was freshman Malia Borg with a time of 17:51.0, giving her a ninth-place finish. Julia Cercone came in 10th place with a time of 17:56.9, while Camryn Zurawski recorded a time of 18:15.2, putting her in 11th place the Wolverines. 

On Saturday, UM-Dearborn finished in 3rd out of four overall in the 4k event. Leading the Wolverines was Victoria Hebda with a time of 15:31.1, putting her in 10th place overall. Chloe Jablonski came in 11th place with a time of 15:45.5, while freshman Mary Bradshaw crossed the finish line with a time of 16:06.2, landing her in 13th place. 

 UM-Dearborn returns to action at the WHAC Championship at 4pm Friday, March 26th in Grand Rapids, Mich.
