DEARBORN, Mich. -- Almost one month removed from their final game. The University of Michigan-Dearborn women's ice hockey team is still collecting awards. On Thursday (Apr. 11), the ACHA Women's Division 1 All-Rookie teams were announced. Newcomers Kenna Borso and Amy Palaian both received first-team recognition.

For Borso, the accolade comes after posting some of the best numbers among all qualified netminders in the ACHA. Borso played 21 games, including every postseason contest, and allowed just 30 pucks to cross the goal line all season. Borso boasted a 1.43 goals against average and a 94.7 save percentage in one of the best years out of a Wolverine netminder in school history.

For Palaian, the accolades kept rolling in after she received a Second Team All-Conference and All-Rookie team honor from the CCWHA. Palaian saw her season ended early due to injury. Despite that, she played in 29 of the Wolverine's 36 games and tallied 23 points on six goals and 17 assists from the blue line.

Four of the six First Team All-Rookie members hail from the CCWHA.
