Hebda earns second CoSIDA All-District Award

DEARBORN, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn women's cross country team continued its rise to the top of the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference with a strong 2019 season, while one Wolverine earned a postseason honor last week.

Junior Victoria Hebda was named to the 2019-20 College Sports Information Directors of America Academic All-District® Women's Cross Country/Track & Field Team, it was announced Thursday.

The 2019-20 CoSIDA Academic All-District® Women's Cross Country/Track & Field Team, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the athletic realm and in the classroom. The CoSIDA Academic All-America® program separately recognizes outstanding student-athletes in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.

The honor is the second in two years for Hebda, who has been a leader on the Wolverine team since debuting for UM-Dearborn in 2017. The Trenton, Mich., native is a member of the WHAC All-Academic Team and was named a WHAC Runner of the Week in 2018.

Hebda will move on to the CoSIDA Academic All-American voting. The results will be announced in the coming weeks.
