UM-DEARBORN DROPS HEARTBREAKER IN HOME FINALE

Down 1-0 late, the Wolverines found an equalizer, but the Gray Wolves got a penalty kick goal in the 85th minute to secure the win. UM-Dearborn falls to 5-10 overall and 2-8 in the WHAC. The loss also eliminates the Wolverines from the WHAC Postseason Tournament race.

After a scoreless first half, Lourdes broke through with a goal in the 64th from Judah Goodridge, who created the chance off a Wolverine turnover. 

UM-Dearborn evened the score in the 79th minute, as Luke Baker (SO/Brownstown, MI) took a feed off a free kick from brother Grant Baker (SO/Brownstown, MI), putting the ball away to make it 1-1. The Lourdes game-winning penalty kick was scored by Reece Riccardi.

The Gray Wolves outshot the Wolverines 23-14 while taking nine corner kicks to six from the Wolverines. Junior goalkeeper Dylon DaSilva (JR/Canton, MI) made eight saves in the loss.

UM-Dearborn closes the season against Cornerstone University at 7 pm Friday in Grand Rapids, Mich.
