INDIANA TECH EDGES UM-DEARBORN MEN

The Wolverines and Warriors battled to a scoreless first half before the home team found the go-ahead goal shortly after the break. UM-Dearborn fought to find an equalizer, but the Warriors extended the lead to to 2-0 late and hung on to defeat UM-Dearborn, which falls to 3-4 overall and 0-2 in the WHAC.

Goalkeeper Dylon DaSilva (JR/Canton, MI) kept the Wolverines close throughout, stopping seven shots in the game. DaSilva's season record falls to 2-4 with the loss. Jacob Drzyzga (SO/Grosse Ile, MI) and Stephen Caruso (SR/Novi, MI) each recorded a shot on goal for UM-Dearborn, which was outshot 27-6.

Brennan Cochran scored the first goal of the contest for Indiana Tech on an assist from Malte Dennert in the 51st minute. The insurance goal for the Warriors was provided by Richard Doll in the 87th. 

The Wolverines continue the WHAC season against Concordia University at 3 p.m., Saturday at Gabriel Richard High School in Riverview, Mich., which will follow the UM-Dearborn women's team taking on the Cardinals at Noon.
