Wolverines fall on the road against Concordia

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn lacrosse team fell to Concordia University 14-8, in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference matchup Sunday afternoon in Ann Arbor, Mich.

The Wolverines got on the board first with a goal from Bryce Washington, however the Cardinals would go on to score six unanswered as they took a four goal lead into halftime. CUAA used a five-goal third quarter to further extended its lead, putting the game out of reach for UM-Dearborn despite a rally in the fourth quarter. 

Washington finished with four goals in the game, while Braxton Kern scored two. Connor Logan and Mason Loudermilk added one goal each. 

The Cardinals were lead by Hunter McCarty and Dylan Wolever who scored four and three goals, respectively.

John Chaffee got the start in goal making six saves for the Wolverines. Concordia held the edge in face-offs, 18-8 and ground balls , 59-48.

 UM-Dearborn returns to action against Lourdes University at 2pm Saturday at Detroit Country Day Stadium in Beverly Hills, Mich.
