Wolverines fall to Madonna University

LIVONIA, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn lacrosse team fell to Madonna University 14-7, in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference matchup Wednesday afternoon in Livonia, Mich.

The Crusaders used a big second quarter as they took a six goal lead into the half over the Wolverines. UM-Dearborn looked to bounce back in the second half, but the Madonna defense limited the Wolverine offense to three goals in the final to quarters to clinch the victory. 

Freshman Bryce Washington continued his strong play finishing the game with two goals and adding an assist. Joseph Atherall, Quest Bigelow, Parker Steindl, and Cody White all added one goal each for UM-Dearborn.

Cole Gingell and Harry Dyson led the way for the Crusaders scoring four and three goals, respectively, in the winning effort.

John Chaffee got the start in goal making nine saves for the Wolverines. Madonna held the edge in face-offs, 16-9 and ground balls , 50-30.

 UM-Dearborn returns to action against Concordia University at 3pm Sunday in Ann Arbor, Mich.
