DEARBORN, Mich. -- In a challenging league game on October 26, 2024, the University of Michigan-Dearborn Wolverines faced a tough loss against the Lourdes Gray Wolves, with a final score of 3-0. The match, hosted at Crestwood High School, saw Lourdes dominate despite a spirited effort from the home team on senior day. 

The game commenced with high intensity, with Lourdes taking an early lead thanks to a goal from Ibrahim Akl at 8:45. The Wolverines struggled to level the score by halftime, trailing 1-0. In the second half, Jannik Hofmann extended the lead for Lourdes by scoring two more goals, ultimately sealing the victory for the Gray Wolves. The match was further marred for UM-Dearborn by the issuance of red cards to Ahmad Elhinnawi and Assem Swidan, compounding the challenges faced by the team.

Goalie Yianni Kanellopoulos was a notable player for Lourdes, achieving a shutout that significantly contributed to their victory. For UM-Dearborn, goalie Elijah Burlak faced a relentless offense but displayed commendable resilience under pressure.
