DEARBORN, Mich. -- In a keenly contested conference game on a chilly fall evening at Crestwood High School, the University of Michigan-Dearborn men's soccer team faced off against Aquinas College. Ultimately, the Wolverines fell 3-1 to the Saints.
The night belonged to Aquinas's Ricardo Rittersberger, who notched a hat trick to secure the victory for his team. Rittersberger's remarkable performance included a penalty kick goal at the 6:42 mark, followed by two more goals assisted by Tevan Jones and Milan Hoeffnagel at 26:50 and 47:59, respectively.
Defensively, UM-Dearborn rotated goalkeepers Elijah Burlak and Mohammad Bader, who both faced a tough challenge against a determined Aquinas offense. Aquinas counterparts Ivan Radovic and Peyton Huffman defended their goal effectively throughout the night.
The Wolverines will aim to bounce back in their upcoming home game against Rochester Christian University on October 19.
