DEARBORN, Mich. -- The University of Michigan-Dearborn secured a critical three points in WHAC play as they defeated the Concordia Cardinals on Wednesday (Sept. 18). Despite being outshot 18-11, the Wolverines shutout the Cardinals 2-0.

Both of the Wolverine goals came in the first half. Andrew Schwartz started the scoring with an unassisted goal in the 27th minute. Schwartz's goal marks his third of the season. Minutes before the half ended, Kaelan Wright gave the Wolverines some insurance as he scored an unassisted goal in the 44th minute.

The Cardinals were held scoreless, largely due to Elijah Burlak's nine saves for the Wolverines. Burlak played the entire game for the Maize & Blue and now has a record of 1-0-1 on the season.
