DETROIT – The University of Michigan-Dearborn women's basketball team played an exhibition game against the University of Detroit Mercy and gave the NCAA Division I program all it could handle in a tightly contested matchup Tuesday at Calihan Hall in Detroit.

The Titans jumped out early with a 21-8 lead after the first, but two 3-pointers from Sade Lemons for the Wolverines cut the deficit to 57-55 with 5:21 to play. A critical three-point play from Lexey Tobel put UDM up six late and the Titans held on for a 68-60 win.

Lemons led the Wolverines from the outside, hitting six 3-pointers and finishing with a team-high 23 points. Sophomore Cydney Williams continued her strong start to the season with 16 points and six rebounds, while Ro'Zhane Wells added nine points and seven assists.

The Wolverines shot 22-of-61 from the field, 6-of-22 from deep and 10-of-19 from the line, while finishing with 18 assists and 17 turnovers.

Statistics and results from this game will not impact season totals for the Wolverines.
