ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn men's soccer team earned a draw against Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference foe Rochester College Wednesday in Rochester Hills, Mich.

The Wolverines got the game-tying goal in the second half, but the teams remained at a stalemate the rest of the way, as the contest ended in a 1-1 tie after two overtime periods. The result moves UM-Dearborn to 5-8-2 overall and 2-6-1 in the WHAC with two games remaining in the regular season.

After Rochester got the scoring started early in the second half, UM-Dearborn answered back with the first-career goal for Alfredo Vivar on a header with the assist going to senior Joseph Georgic on a cross from the end line.

Stephen Mezuk made seven saves in the game for the Wolverines, who outshot the Warriors 19-15.

UM-Dearborn travels to Indiana Tech for a WHAC match at 12 pm Saturday in Fort Wayne, Ind.

The Wolverines are currently in eighth place in the WHAC standings with two games remaining. UM-Dearborn is a half-game ahead of two teams, Rochester and Cleary University, and one game back of Siena Heights University heading into the final week of the season. The top eight teams make the WHAC Postseason Tournament.

UM-Dearborn will play a make-up game against Concordia University at 7 pm Tuesday at Gabriel Richard High School to close out the regular season.
