Wolverines earn 2-2 draw at Olivet

OLIVET, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn men's soccer team continued early-season competition against NCAA Division III foe Olivet College Saturday in Olivet, Mich.

The Wolverines scored two in the first 45 minutes to carry a 2-0 lead into the break, but the Comets tied the game with two goals just two minutes apart early in the second half. The game ended in a 2-2 tie, pushing the Wolverines to 1-0-1 this season.

Bryan Lendzion got the scoring started with his first career goal, on an assist from fellow freshman Jack Barnett. UM-Dearborn doubled its advantage later in the first half, as Barnett found the back of the net on a feed from sophomore Ali Khcheiche. The goal was the first for Barnett in a UM-Dearborn uniform.

The Wolverines were outshot 14-7 while taking four corner kicks to three for the Comets.

UM-Dearborn returns to action against Indiana Wesleyan University at 7 pm Friday in Marion, Ind.
