FULL GAME NOTES

DEARBORN, Mich. - The Unviersity of Michigan-Dearborn men's basketball team will play two Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference contests this week, starting with Aquinas College at 8 p.m. Wednesday, whlie Lourdes University comes to the UM-Dearborn Fieldhouse at 3 p.m. on Saturday.

Team Update

As the WHAC season hits the midway point, the UM-Dearborn men's basketball team looks to position itself near the top of the standings with a strong push down the stretch. After dropping three of four, the Wolverines have won four of their last five, with the lone loss in that span coming at the hands of No. 1 Cornerstone University. Most recently, UM-Dearborn topped Madonna University 91-71, pulling away from the Crusaders in the second half. Through 11 WHAC games, UM-Dearborn is 6-5, sitting in sixth place.

Who's Hot

Marcus Williams (SR/Lagos, Nigeria) has scored in double figures in all but three games this season, including in each of the last eight games. The 6-foot-7 forward is getting stronger as the season progresses, scoring a season-high 29 points, including five 3-pointers in the Wolverine win over Madonna last week. Williams is averaging a team-best 16.8 points per game to go along with 6.5 rebounds and 32 total blocks. He set a WHAC record with seven blocks in a game earlier this season against Concordia.

History

The Wolverines knocked off an Aquinas team that was receiving votes in the final game of 2015-16. The win snapped a five-game losing streak to the Saints.

UM-Dearborn fell to Lourdes earlier this season 68-64 in Sylvania, Ohio. The teams have split the last six matchups.
