DEARBORN, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn women's soccer team took on the Lourdes University Gray Wolves in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference contest Tuesday night at Fordson High School in Dearborn, Mich.
The Wolverines got on the board first when Gabriella Teems connected on a penalty kick in the 13th minute to put UM-Dearborn up 1-0. However, in the 29th minute, the Gray Wolves would tie the game when Abagail Mann found the back of the net on a penalty kick of her own. Mann would go on to score again 90 seconds into the second half, helping Lourdes secure the 2-1 victory.
The loss drops the Wolverines to 0-2-0 overall and 0-2-0 in the WHAC.
Lisa Kohler had a strong game in goal for UM-Dearborn, making 11 saves with seven coming in the second half. The Gray Wolves held the edge in shots, 19-6 and corner kicks, 4-1.
The Wolverines return to action on Senior Day against Concordia University at 7pm at Fordson High School in Dearborn, Mich.
