UM-DEARBORN ENDS FIRST SEASON WITH LOSS AT CORNERSTONE
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn women's soccer team closed the first season in program history, taking on Cornerstone University in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference contest Saturday in Grand Rapids, Mich.

The Wolverine defense held strong for most of the game, but the Golden Eagles broke through for two goals to take the contest 2-0. The loss ends the Wolverine season with a record of 0-12 overall and 0-10 in the WHAC.
UM-Dearborn was able to put some pressure on the Cornerstone penalty area, putting four shots on net, including two from Valeria Cossyleon (SR/Detroit, MI), while Dalianth Gomez-Llanos (SR/Lincoln Park, MI) and Kathleen Rubenson (SR/Livonia, MI) each added one.
Redshirt freshman goalkeeper Jordan Anheuser (FR/Canton, MI) concluded her stellar first year for the Wolverines with 11 saves in the loss. Anheuser closes the season with 149 total saves or 12.41 per game.
Cornerstone got goals from Meredith Haddad and Morgan Haddad.
