ANHEUSER STOPS 24 IN LOSS AT MADONNA

The Crusaders came out of the gate firing, but UM-Dearborn redshirt freshman goalkeeper Jordan Anheuser (FR/Canton, MI) kept the home team at bay early, stopping the first 10 shots of the contest. Madonna was able to break through with a pair of goals in the first half and added two more after the break to take the contest 4-0.

The loss drops UM-Dearborn to 0-9 overall and 0-7 in the WHAC.

Anheuser finished the game with 24 saves, two shy of her career high of 26 she set in a game earlier this season against Indiana Tech. So far this season, Anheuser has stopped 128 shots or 14.22 per contest.

The Wolverines got a shot on goal from Valeria Cossyleon (SR/Detroit, MI) in the second half. The Madonna goals came from Julia Henning, Jamie Moceri, Gabby Dedvukaj and Megan Roth.

UM-Dearborn plays its final home game of the season against Rochester College at 4 p.m. Saturday at Gabriel Richard High School in Riverview, Mich. The game will be Senior Day for the Wolverines as the team will honor four student-athletes playing in their final home game.
