Wolverines Wrap up WHAC Championships

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn bowling team concluded events at the WHAC Championships over the weekend in Indiana. The Women's team concluded a strong showing posting a fifth-place finish in the competition. The men's team took home 10th place in their competition.

The women's team posted the second-highest score in the Baker series in the opening game, recording a 730. Dearborn struggled in their second game, only mustering a 641. Results started to pick up in the third as UM-Dearborn posted a 712. UM-Dearborn's strong start dwindled in the final game resulting in a 603 total and a fifth-place finish. The Wolverines finished just outside of the top-4, which would have allowed them to advance into bracket play.

The men's team struggled to string frames together as they posted a high of 727 in the Baker series. The Wolverines finished in a cluster of teams in the 3400s but could not create enough separation in the final two games resulting in a 10th-place finish.
