Bowling Wraps up Weekend in Kentucky

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn bowling team wrapped up a getaway weekend down in Kentucky. Both teams competed in the Lynne Jordan Memorial on Saturday (Jan. 21) and the Thomas N. Burris Memorial on Sunday (Jan. 22). 

 

Jessica Ludwick led the Wolverines with a 905 on Saturday, bowled a 209 in her first game, and ended with a 201 in her fifth game. Carly Scanlon, Madison Shelton, and Amanda Williams all finished in a cluster, scoring 632, 613, and 600 to round out the scoring on Saturday.

 

Williams was the top finisher on Sunday, knocking down 912 pins in five games. Shelton finished with an 871 and rolled an impressive 243 in her second game. Ludwick, Scanlon, and Jasmine Carroll finished just outside the top 100 on Sunday. 

 

In the men's competition, Zachary Baum posted the top score in Saturday's competition knocking down 901 pins with a high of 197 in his second game. Spencer Mccallum rolled a 752 in four games posting a 210 in his final game. Spencer Strzalkowski posted a 225 in his second of four games, good enough for a 726 overall. 

 

Baum was the Wolverine leader on Sunday, breaking 220 in two separate games and posting a five-game total of 1018. Strzalkowski posted a 961 in five games, with a high of 225 in his second game. Joseph Devita rounded out the Wolverine competitors with an 898 in five games.
