Women Finish Seventh, Men Finish Eighth at WHAC I

STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich.-- The University of Michigan-Dearborn bowling team participated in the first of four Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference Jamborees on Saturday (Oct. 8). Amanda Williams was the top competitor on both sides, taking fifth overall in the women's singles competition. 

 

Williams recovered from a sloppy first game to take fifth overall with a five-game total of 806. Williams rolled a 224 in her third game, her highest on the day. Jessica Ludwick rolled a 203 in her final game to give her a 704 on the day and a 29th-place finish. Carly Scanlon rolled a 642 with a high of 169 to take home 45th place. Madison Shelton and Jasmine Carroll rounded out the day for the Wolverines rolling a high of 192 and 185, respectively. 

 

Joseph DeVita had a strong showing for the Wolverines, with a total of 837 and a high of 235. DeVita's performance netted him a 24th-place finish. Nathan Roberts and Zachary Baum finished right behind each other taking home 32nd and 34th place, respectively. Roberts rolled a 215 in his third game, and Baum rolled an impressive 233 in his fourth game.  

 

Spencer McCallum rolled a 216 in his second game, while Jaylen Watson and Kejuan Matthews rolled 188 and 174 for their best games.
