Wolverines Take Home Fifth and Sixth at WHAC Championships

TOLEDO, Ohio – The University of Michigan-Dearborn cross country team wrapped up competition on Friday (Nov. 4) at the Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference Championships at the Ottawa Park Golf Course. The men's team took home fifth, and the women's team took sixth out of 11. 

 

Brett Leidal was the top finisher on the men's side, finishing the 8k race in 27:19.79. Leidal's time was good for 24th place. Ryan Exell was the next Wolverine competitor to cross the line with a time of 28:00.13. Exell took home 39th out of 118 finishers. Adam Haag was close behind, crossing the tape in 28:16.80 and taking 44th place. Gavin Llewellyn and Isaac Tiernan took home 47th and 52nd, respectively. Will Hengy wrapped up the Wolverine top 5 with a time of 29:02.60 and took home 63rd place. 

 

On the Women's side, Rebecca Bradsher was the top finisher with a time of 20:41.20. Her final time saw her take home a top-25 finish. Chloe Jablonski finished in 39th with a time of 21:14.29. Mikayla Borg was right behind her in 42nd with a time of 21:21.40. Kylie Callison was three seconds behind borg in 45th and a final time of 21:24.16. Lauryn Hoover and Mary Bradshaw wrapped up the Wolverine lineup with a back-to-back finish in 52 and 53rd. 

 

In the post-meet honors, Gavin Llewellyn and Mary Bradshaw were named to the Champions of Character Team, awarded to individuals who represent the five core character values that the NAIA represents.
