Wolverines Place Second and Third at Terracotta Invite

TOLEDO, Ohio. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn cross country program took second and third place at the Terracotta Invite on Friday (Sept 16). Ryan Exell was the top finisher on the men's side. While Rebecca Bradsher was the top finisher on the women's side. 

 

The women's team accumulated 60 points and finished just 15 points behind madonna for second overall. In the 5k race, Bradsher crossed the tape in 14:48.85, good for sixth place. Bradsher's first split was at a 6:37 pace and finished strong running the back half at a 7:24 pace. Mikayla Borg and Mary Bradshaw took eighth and ninth place finishing just three seconds behind each other. The duo crossed the finish line in 114:50.72 and 14:53.29, respectively. Chloe Jablonski, Lauryn Hoover, and Kylie Callison rounded out the scoring for the wolverines finishing 19th, 20th, and 21st. 

 

In the men's race, Ryan Exell finished sixth with a time of 11:39.46. Exell's first split was at a 5:10 pace and concluded the race with a 5:50 pace. Will Hengy, Brett Leidal, and Gavin Llewellyn finished in 17th, 18th, and 19th, with Hengy and Leidal finishing within a second of each other. Finally, Llewellyn crossed the tape with a time of 12:13.73. Adam Haag and Isaac Tiernan concluded the scoring for the Maize & Blue with a 23rd and 24th pace finish.
