Wolverines Wrap up Competition at Great Lakes Challenge

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn cross-country teams competed in the Great Lakes Challenge hosted by Aquinas. The men finished sixth out of 30 teams, while the women took home seventh out of 26 on Saturday (Oct.22).

 

Brett Leidal was the top finisher for the Wolverines, taking 22nd place with a finishing time of 26:55.40 in the 8k race. Ryan Exell was the next finisher as he crossed the tape in 35th, running a 27:14.50. Eight seconds later, Gavin Llewellyn crossed the line with a time of 27:22.60. Will Hengy and Adam Haag rounded out the Wolverine lineup crossing the finish line in 59th and 96th, respectively. 

 

In the women's race, Rebecca Bradsher was the top Wolverine runner as she took home 24th place with a final time of 20:02.40. Mikayla Borg was right behind her in 27th, with a time of 20:11.00. Lauryn Hoover was the next Wolverine to cross the line, as she took home 55th crossing the line in 20:49.50. Mary Bradshaw, Kylie Callison, and Chloe Jablonski rounded out the Wolverines in the top-100 as they finished 60th, 72nd, and 79th, respectively.

The Wolverines will run in the WHAC Championships on Friday (Nov. 4) at the Ottawa Park Golf Course in Toledo, Ohio.
