DeVita Wins AC Open

ADRIAN, Mich. – Joseph DeVita won his second event in as many weeks as DeVita took first place at the AC Open on Saturday (Nov. 11). The men's team took second overall while the women's team finished fourth. 

DeVita edged out his opponent from Spring Arbor by one pin as he knocked down 924 pins for a four-game average of 231. DeVita rolled a 266 in his first game for his high on the day. Nathan Roberts took 10th with an average of 217. Roberts had a high of 246 in his second game, which gave him his second top-10 finish in as many events. Joshua Schunemann finished just outside of the top-10 as his 213.3 average put him in 14th. Zachary Baum rounded out the Wolverine competitors with an 18th-place finish after a 205.8 average. 

In the women's competition, Elizabeth Breitzman, Madison Shelton, and Katrina McKay finished back-to-back-to-back in 13th, 14th and 15th. Breitman rolled a 705 with a high of 192. Shelton had a fantastic second and third game, rolling a 221 and a 201 for a 701 total. McKay had a strong first game, rolling a 225 and positioning her well for a four-game average of 175. Jessica Ludwick took 19th after rolling a 172 and 182 in her final two games.
