ST.CLAIR, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn cross country teams opened up the season at the Skippers Cross Country Showcase hosted by St. Clair County Community College. The women's team took home second, while the men's team finished third. 

Mikayla Borg was the top finisher for the Wolverines as she took home ninth place. Borg finished the 5k in 22:08.60. Lauryn Hoover stayed right behind Borg as she finished three seconds behind Borg in 10th place. Kylie Callison recorded a top-15 finish as she crossed the line in 22:21.40. Mary Bradshaw finished just outside of the top 20 as her time of 22:37.50 saw her take home 21st. 

Brett Leidal ran a strong race for the men, taking 13th place and finishing as the top competitor for the Maize & Blue. Joe Seibert took home 17th place, finishing in 27:35.70
