Williams earns WHAC Bowler of the Week award

PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn men's bowling team returned to action in two American Heartland Intercollegiate Bowling Conference events over the weekend at Lebanon Lanes in Pittsburgh, Pa.

Amanda Williams led the Wolverines at the event and was named the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Women's Bowler of the Week for the first time in her career, it was announced Monday. The award is the first for any Wolverine in program history.

Williams finished the event in 18th place individually, leading UM-Dearborn to ninth place out of 15 teams. She averaged 170.8 pins, with 854 total in five games.

Daniella McBride was 34 with 804 pins, while Jessica Ludwick was 38th with 786.

The Wolverines compete at the final WHAC Jamboree hosted by Madonna University Saturday at Plaza Lanes in Plymouth, Mich.
