Softball Wraps up Spring Training Trip

VIERA, Fla. -- The University of Michigan-Dearborn softball team wrapped up their annual spring training trip down to the USSSA Space Coast Spring Games. The Wolverines concluded the 10-game trip with a 3-7 record but secured a signature win against No. 12 Indiana Wesleyan on Friday (Mar. 7). 

The Wolverines struggled at the dish, hitting below .200 on the week. Francesca Badalamenti and Kendall Philip led the Wolverines at the dish as they tallied eight hits between the two. Badalamenti led the Wolverines in OPS as she boasted an even 1.000. Lindsay Marlewitz led the Wolverines with three RBIs on the week. Sydni Uhlenberg led the Wolverines on the mound, throwing 24.2 innings and sporting a 4.82 ERA. Uhlenberg secured two of the Wolverine's three victories, including the win over IWU. The Wolverines travel to Kentucky to play four games against Alice Lloyd and Pikeville on March 15th and 16th.
