DEARBORN, Mich. – The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference announced Monday that University of Michigan-Dearborn sophomore Josh Mussen has been named the WHAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week.

The award is the first for the 2017 NAIA national qualifier, as he led the Wolverines at The Master's Invitational Saturday in Santa Clarita, Calif.

Mussen crossed the line in the 8K race with a time of 26 minutes, 39.1 seconds in a field that included some of the top NAIA programs from the west coast.

The Wolverines return to action at the Louisville Classic hosted by the University of Louisville Saturday in Louisville, Ky.
