WOLVERINES RETURN TO ACTION AT JAYHAWK INVITE

The Wolverines finished strong, with the men ending the meet in seventh place out of 17 teams with 193 points, while the women were ninth out of 17 with 219 points. 

Joshua Williams led the men with a 35th-place finish, crossing the line in 27 minutes, 8.11 seconds. Sean Nowak (SR/Trenton, MI) was next for UM-Dearborn, taking 53rd with a time of 27:30.52 and Christopher Silva was 70th in 27:51.83. Henry Robertson (FR/Berkley, MI) was 82nd, Nathan Wilson 84th, Andrew Kohn (SO/Dearborn, MI) 114th and Sean Fisher (SO/Lansing, MI) 136th.

Senior Megan Seccombe was the top finisher for the Wolverine women, crossing the line in 19:39.75, while freshman Victoria Hebda was 48th in 20:09.61. Kayla Dela Cruz was 59th in 20:19.48, Julia Cercone 73rd in 20:35.53 and Israa Ali 106th with a time of 21:33.29.

The Wolverines return to action in the final tune-up for the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Championships as UM-Dearborn competes at the NAIA Great Lakes Cross Country Challenge hosted by Aquinas College at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 21 in Grand Rapids, Mich.
