Men's Soccer honors three on Senior Night

RIVERVIEW, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn men's soccer team dropped a hard-fought contest on Senior Night to the University of Northwestern Ohio Saturday at Gabriel Richard High School in Riverview, Mich.

The Wolverines honored three senior student-athletes, Mark Dawson, Scott Dunford and Joseph Georgic, in a Senior Night ceremony prior to the start of the game.

The Wolverines held the No. 21 Racers scoreless until the last two minutes of the first half when the visitors broke through to take a 1-0 lead into the break. UNOH added an insurance goal in the second half and went on for a 2-0 win, dropping UM-Dearborn to 5-8-1 overall and 2-6 in the WHAC.

Daniel Oliver finished with two shots, while Georgic had the lone UM-Dearborn shot on goal, as UNOH outshot the Wolverines 14-6. Alex Siluk made one save in net for UM-Dearborn.

The Wolverines continue the WHAC season against Rochester College at 1:30 pm Wednesday in Rochester Hills, Mich.
