Coach Mo Bazzi begins his second season with the Wolverines.

In his inaugural season, Coach Bazzi was dedicated to nurturing the growth of underclassmen, making a significant impact on and off the court. His efforts were pivotal in Jackson Reynolds earning a spot on the WHAC All-Freshman team as the highest vote-getter.

A Dearborn Heights Star International Academy graduate in 2016, Coach Bazzi boasts an impressive basketball background. He was a 3-time Charter School Conference 1st Team selection, a 3-time All-State honoree, and a McDMcDonald'sl-American Nominee. In 2015, he led the state in scoring with an average of 31.8 points per game and remains the all-time leading scorer at Star International Academy with 1,436 career points. After committing to Madonna University and playing two seasons, he transitioned to professional basketball in Lebanon, where he spent three seasons with Beirut Hoops Club and Etihad Mayrouba. Additionally, he served as the Head Varsity Basketball Coach at Star International Academy for the 2021-2022 season, guiding the team to its first-ever league championship with a 15-7 record.

Coach Bazzi has been instrumental in establishing the program culture and fostering strong relationships with coaches and players nationwide.

He resides with his wife in Dearborn, Mich., and is pursuing a law degree.
