Coach Domenic Policicchio III begins his fourth season with the Wolverines.

Coach Policicchio is dedicated to fostering a culture rooted in Discipline, Integrity, and Gratitude (DIG Deep)—the program’s three core pillars. He often states, "My goal is simple: I want every student-athlete to graduate with their degree and be prepared to make a positive impact on society. To me, that's the true measure of success."

The success of Coach Policicchio's Student-First approach is evident in the team's impressive GPA, which stands above 3.2. Troy Campbell earned a spot on the Academic All-District Team for the second year in a row. Under his leadership, thirteen student-athletes have received the WHAC Academic All-Team award, three student-athletes have been honored with the Champions of Character award, and one (Jackson Reynolds) was named to the WHAC All-Freshman team as the highest vote-getter. Two student-athletes finished their careers with over 1,000 points, and Jason Gigliotti secured a third professional contract with the Icelandic Subway League.

Coach Policicchio was honored with the co-WHAC Champions of Character award, becoming the first Men's Basketball Head Coach at the University of Michigan-Dearborn to receive this prestigious accolade. He boasts an undefeated record in overtime games, including a dramatic triple-overtime victory against 6th-ranked Lawrence Tech and a double-overtime buzzer-beater against Judson. Beyond cultivating a team-oriented culture, Policicchio has scheduled three NCAA Division 1 and seven NCAA Division 2 games, creating one of the most challenging schedules in the NAIA.

Policicchio’s extensive coaching background spans various levels and organizations, including the Catholic Youth Organization (CYO), Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA), Catholic High School League (CHSL), and the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU). He also served as an assistant coach at Orchard Lake St. Mary's Preparatory High School, where he helped guide the team to a 14-1 record, a Catholic High School League co-divisional championship, District Championship, Regional Championship, and its first Quarterfinal appearance since 2012.

Prior to Orchard Lake St. Mary's, Policicchio played a key role in leading the 2016 Ladywood Blazers to their first district championship since 2012, helping to turn around a program that had struggled the previous year. A graduate of Dearborn Divine Child, Policicchio played basketball at Schoolcraft College, earning an Associate of Business Administration degree while making the Dean's List. He later completed his Bachelor of Business Administration in Management at Walsh College. With a strong business background, he currently works in Big Tech and actively contributes to his community through various state and local boards and church volunteer work.

Coach Policicchio lives in Westland, MI, with his golden retriever, Mozzie.
