Max McLennan Signs Professional Contract in USPBL

DEARBORN, Mich.  -- University of Michigan-Dearborn baseball's  Max McLennan signed a professional contract with the Birmingham Bloomfield Beavers of the United Shore Professional Baseball League. McLennan becomes the fourth player in UM-Dearborn baseball history to sign a professional contract post-college. 

McLennan, who was previously cut during walk-on tryouts his freshman year, has earned every accolade that's been given to him during his four seasons dawning the Maize & Blue.McLennan has elite bat-to-ball skills, putting together batting averages of .406 and .381 in his junior and senior seasons. McLennan even showcases power, tallying 31 extra-base hits over the same timeframe. 

In his senior season, McLennan garnered Second Team All-Conference accolades after posting an OPS above 1.000. McLennan joins the likes of Danny Kerr, Andrew Capone, and Antonio Carta, who have played baseball professionally.

The Beavers open their season on May 18th against the Eastside Diamond Hoppers.
