Volleyball drops road match to Cornerstone

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn volleyball team began its regular-season-ending four-game road trip against Cornerstone University in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference matchup at Mol Arena in Grand Rapids, Mich.

The Golden Eagles controlled the first set, defeating the Wolverines 25-6 before taking the next two sets 25-11 and 25-13, respectively. 

The loss drops UM-Dearborn to 5-21 overall and 2-15 in the WHAC heading into the final three games of the 2018 season.

Erin Parrinello and Gina Giacomini both finished with three kills. Daniella Barile had 11 assists while Caitlyn Carlson led the way with 16 digs. 

The Wolverines continue WHAC play as they travel to Concordia University at 7 pm Saturday in Ann Arbor, Mich.
