Saints top Wolverines in WHAC match

ADRIAN, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn volleyball team fell to Siena Heights University in three sets in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference match Wednesday in Adrian, Mich.

The Wolverines dropped a one-sided first set but held an advantage late in the second. The Saints rallied to go up 2-0 and eventually prevailed in the third. The set scores were 25-14, 25-22, 25-18, dropping UM-Dearborn to 5-18 overall and 2-12 in the WHAC.

Mackenzie Zook led the UM-Dearborn offense with seven kills, while Gina Giacomini, Erin Parrinello, and Mackenzie Fuleky each added six. Daniella Barile recorded a team-high 15 assists, while Caitlyn Carlson led the defense with 18 digs.

The Wolverines return to action against Indiana Tech in a WHAC contest at 7 pm Friday at the UM-Dearborn Fieldhouse.
