Crusaders top Wolverines in 3 sets

DEARBORN, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn volleyball team fell in three sets to Madonna University in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference matchup Saturday at the UM-Dearborn Fieldhouse.

The set scores were 25-17, 25-14, 25-21, dropping UM-Dearborn to 4-16 overall and 1-10 in the WHAC.

Leading the way for the Wolverines was Gina Giacomini with seven kills and Daniella Barile with 13 assists. Caitlyn Carlson and Jayci Forster each added seven digs on defense.

The Crusaders had 12 kills from Jodie Kelly and 28 assists from Lauren Korth.

The Wolverines return to action against Rochester College in a WHAC matchup at 7 PM Wednesday at the UM-Dearborn Fieldhouse.
