DEARBORN, Mich. – Culture - that is the defining word that sticks with many of the players and spectators who have embarked on the journey that the University of Michigan-Dearborn women's soccer team has taken everyone on this season. Head Coach George Easter has developed a culture where his student-athletes enjoy each day and the challenges the new day may bring. In Easter's second full season at the helm of the Wolverine women's soccer program, the culture he has set has formed a new standard for the teams that will come in the future. For the first time in program history, the Wolverines will advance to the postseason—a feat no team has accomplished in their six years of existence.

During the team's senior day last week, a common theme from the five senior speeches was thank you's to Easter and Amber Klavon. Thank you's for making this season of soccer one of the most enjoyable seasons of their careers. While the season was enjoyable, the season ended with a few games Easter and his players were upset with. And the new culture understands the room for improvement that can still be had. The 2023 Wolverine women's soccer team finished the regular season 7-8-2, 3-6-2. The seven regular season wins mark a new program record, an honor they all appreciate but one they understand can easily be beaten again.

The Wolverines Women's soccer team also saw Emmi Pinkowski shatter the single-season points record. Pinkowski ended the regular season with 24 points and the highest-ever finish by a Wolverine in the WHAC points leader's standings.

The Wolverines' first appearance in the WHAC Tournament will occur on Wednesday, November 1st, against the top-seeded Siena Heights Saints. Kick-off will be at 7 pm.
