DEARBORN, Mich. – University of Michigan-Dearborn softball recently completed the 2019 season and the team received several honors from the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference on Wednesday.
Madelin Skene was named to the All-WHAC First Team, while junior Amy Jarrett was named to the All-WHAC Second Team.
Skene finished the 2019 season batting a team-high .410 with seven home runs, 39 RBIs, 26 runs scored and seven stolen bases, while playing several key positions in the field at a high level. She made 19 appearances on the mound, pitching 53.1 innings for the Wolverines.
Jarrett had a breakthrough season with the bat in 2019, closing the campaign with a career-high .383 batting average in 32 games. She recorded personal bests with 31 hits, six doubles, 13 RBIs, 13 runs scored and a .481 slugging percentage.
Other honors for the Wolverines included Rachel Clem, Olivia Cottom, Kaylie McConnell, Leah Oldham, Sarah Prashad, Julie St. John and Samantha Torongeau being named to the WHAC All-Academic Team, while St. John was also named to the Champion of Character Team.
