Skene, Jarrett earn All-WHAC Team honors

DEARBORN, Mich. – University of Michigan-Dearborn softball recently completed the 2019 season and the team received several honors from the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference on Wednesday.

Madelin Skene was named to the All-WHAC First Team, while junior Amy Jarrett was named to the All-WHAC Second Team.

Skene finished the 2019 season batting a team-high .410 with seven home runs, 39 RBIs, 26 runs scored and seven stolen bases, while playing several key positions in the field at a high level. She made 19 appearances on the mound, pitching 53.1 innings for the Wolverines.

Jarrett had a breakthrough season with the bat in 2019, closing the campaign with a career-high .383 batting average in 32 games.  She recorded personal bests with 31 hits, six doubles, 13 RBIs, 13 runs scored and a .481 slugging percentage.

Other honors for the Wolverines included Rachel Clem, Olivia Cottom, Kaylie McConnell, Leah OldhamSarah Prashad, Julie St. John and Samantha Torongeau being named to the WHAC All-Academic Team, while St. John was also named to the Champion of Character Team.
