Softball pitcher Gina Verduzco (SO/Portage, MI) was named the WHAC Pitcher of the Week for the week of April 4-10. Verduzco had one appearance and pitched a complete game shutout against Kalamazoo College. Verduzco gave up just four hits and struck out nine in the Wolverines 2-0 win. It was her second consecutive complete game and sixth of the season. For the season, Verduzco is 8-2 with a 3.14 ERA. She has struck 48 batters in 64.2 innings on the season. Verduzco has also been helping her cause by batting .447 this season with 14 RBIs.
