BATTLE CREEK, Mich. – Mahmoud Saad of the University of Michigan-Dearborn men's golf team leads all competitors after day one of the Lou Collins Memorial Tournament. Saad carded a 71, the only under-par round on the day. 

Branden Pultorak finished tied for ninth after he finished four shots back of Saad, shooting a 75 (+3). Brandon Tirador shot a 77, leaving him five over and tied for 18th. Nick Cooper and Mohamad Homayad scored in the high eighties, finishing with an 87 and 89, respectively. Jason Cuppari and Ali Elhage shot 92s to round out the Wolverine competitors.
