Wolverines fall in three at Siena Heights

ADRIAN, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn volleyball team had a quick turnaround after playing a double-header the night before as they traveled to take on Siena Heights University in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference matchup Friday afternoon in Adrian, Mich. 

 

The Saints swept the Wolverines in three sets 25-19, 25-16, 25-13. The loss drops UM-Dearborn to 0-3 overall and 0-3 in the WHAC. Brooke Wetherill led the Wolverine offense with seven kills, while Sabrina Giacomini finished with 10 assists. On the defensive side, Kielle Tondryk added a match-high eight digs. 

 

Samantha Getson and Katie Carsten led the SHU offense, adding nine and eight kills respectively, while Aubrey Bates dished out a match-high 32 assists for the Saints.

 

UM-Dearborn returns to action with a double-header against Rochester University at 6pm and 8pm Wednesday in Rochester Hills, Mich.
