DEARBORN, Mich. — The University of Michigan-Dearborn women's soccer team fell 8–0 to Lourdes University on Saturday afternoon at Legacy Park. The Wolverines fought hard throughout the match but were unable to slow down one of the WHAC's top attacks.
Lourdes (10-2-0, 8-1-0 WHAC) struck early, scoring four times in the opening half before adding four more after the break. Sophia Larabee opened the scoring in the third minute, while Hollie Robinson netted a pair of first-half goals to pace the Gray Wolves.
UM-Dearborn (2-11-3, 1-6-3 WHAC) generated its best chance of the afternoon in the second half when Olivia Trosen put the team's lone shot on target, but Lourdes goalkeeper Addison Beil turned it aside. Goalkeeper Isabelle Shaw made eight saves in 86 minutes of action to help limit further damage.
The Wolverines will look to bounce back on Wednesday when they travel to take on Siena Heights in another WHAC matchup.
