BRIGHTON, Mich. -- The University of Michigan-Dearborn golf team wrapped up the Cleary Spring Invitational at the Oak Pointe Country Club Championship Course on Monday (Apr. 14). The men's team took seventh while the women's team took fifth. The day was highlighted by Kristen Guobis' third-place finish, while Henry Poston and Jason Cuppari finished in a tie for 10th.
Guobis had a pair of birdies to finish one over on the front nine. Guobis carded a 43 on the back nine to finish nine over, shooting an 80. Megan Rogers and Kaitlyn Creps finished 20th and 22nd, respectively. While Macy LaCourse and Kenzie Christopher rounded out the women's teams day in 39th and 40th.
In the men's competition, Poston and Cuppari each shot a 78. Poston birdied 10 and 15 en route to a 37 on the back nine, while Cuppari birdied one, 12 and 17 to propel him to a tie with Poston. Jason Spiegel carded an 87 in his collegiate debut, while Will Barret and Zak Januszkowski finished in 35th and 40th.
