Wolverine Bowling Opens Season at Warrior Fall Classic

TROY, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn bowling teams opened the 2019-20 season at the Warrior Fall Classic hosted by Rochester University at Bowl One in Troy, Mich.

The Wolverine women had their best day in program history with new faces leading the way for the second-year program. UM-Dearborn women finished fifth out of 13 teams, which included several programs in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference. The team totaled 5,719 pins.

Carly Scanlon led the Wolverine women, finishing ninth in the individual standings with 716 total pins and a 215 high game. Jessica Ludwick was close behind Scanlon in 10th, totaling 704 pins and posting a high score of 192. Danielle McBride was 28th with 608 pins and Amanda Williams was 30th with 601, while Emilee Leblanc closed the day in 53rd with 451.

The UM-Dearborn men finished eighth out of 13 teams with 6,045 pins.

Mark Bilancetti led the Wolverine men with 739 total pins and high game of 208. Josh Hall was 34th with 662, while Stephen Strzalkowski was 42nd with a 203 high game and Aaron Stubbs was 47th with a 204 high.

The Wolverines host an event for the first time in program history as the first WHAC Jamboree of the year will be held Oct. 5 at Thunderbowl Lanes in Allen Park, Mich.
