Shooting Woes Plague Wolverines in 72-43 Loss Against Concordia (MI)

ANN ARBOR, Mich.-- The University of Michigan-Dearborn (6-15, 3-10) women's basketball team struggled to shoot the ball on Saturday (Jan. 21) at Cardinal Fieldhouse as they took on the Concordia (MI) University Cardinals (12-8, 9-5). Dearborn managed to shoot just 22.2% from the field in a 72-43 loss. 

 

UM-Dearborn Leaders 

Jordan Banks led the Wolverines with 15 points shooting 6-6 from the charity stripe in just 15 minutes. Siena Smith was the only other Wolverine to score above five points as she poured in 11 points on three made triples and 4-14 from the field. The Wolverines were an impressive 12-14 from the free-throw line. 

 

Concordia (MI) Leaders 

Taylor Leatherman was the catalyst of the Cardinal attack scoring 17 points and ripping down 17 rebounds. Samantha Dorn had a game-high 19 points shooting 6-14 from the field and 3-7 from behind the arc. Dorn hauled in seven rebounds to help the Cardinals outrebound Dearborn 49-23. Izzy Viau rounded out the scoring for the Cardinals with 10 points.
